Industry insiders, known for their accurate predictions, hinted at this potential shift, even though they weren’t certain if such news would emerge during the latest State of Play. Despite their uncertainty about an announcement, some fans were eager to hear about a PS5 release during the event. The speculation continues as another insider adds fuel to this fiery rumor, possibly suggesting when we might actually see the game on Sony’s console.

A well-known insider recently hinted that April could be an exciting month for PS5 enthusiasts. Tom Warren of The Verge shared on BlueSky that PS5 gamers might have something to look forward to in April. While details were scarce, it didn’t stop the rumor mill from turning, with some suggesting that Hellblade 2 might be the headliner for that month.

In earlier discussions this week, seasoned insiders Jez Corden and NateTheHate chimed in on the conversation, with both expressing confidence that a PS5 version of Hellblade 2 is in the works. Corden mentioned hearing it’s on the horizon “pretty soon,” backed up by NateTheHate’s playful tweet featuring Senua alongside a PS5, captioned, “Soon…. very soon.”

The term “soon” leaves much room for interpretation. Does it mean in a matter of days, sometime in September, or perhaps April? It’s all still very speculative. Fans will have to exercise patience until Ninja Theory decides to officially announce the PS5 edition of what was previously an Xbox exclusive.
