Brace yourselves, folks! Social media just got a lot more exciting with some fresh updates from 2XKO, and trust me, it’s going to liven up your month. We’ve got word that a detailed video briefing on the game, Jinx, and the upcoming Alpha Lab test is on the horizon, and let me tell you, it’s about time.
So, who spilled the beans? None other than Ben Forbes, editor-in-chief at 2XKO, who took to Twitter to share the buzz. He mentioned, “We just wrapped up filming the next 2XKO update! We’re still knee-deep in editing, production, and localization, but here’s a teaser: expect an in-depth look at our gameplay changes since Alpha Lab 1 (yes, including Jinx!), some insights into Alpha Lab 2, and a special showmatch featuring the dev team.”
Ben didn’t stop there. The tweet carried on to say, “This update goes deep, so expect the video to run long—about an hour, give or take. We’re aiming to release this update by the last week of March. We’re not quite ready for live PowerPoint presentations yet, but hey, maybe someday…”
However, before you start fantasizing about new character unveilings, Ben also made it clear that this update won’t feature any. So, no need to place any bets just yet!
For a little flashback, last year, the 2XKO team hinted at new information dropping in February with a friendly “See you next year” sign-off. Yet, this February didn’t fulfill our cravings. Instead, game director Shaun Rivera took to Twitter to announce some tweaks. These include adjusting the scope of the next Alpha Labs test and introducing a new fuse for the game.
It seems that behind-the-scenes changes at Riot paired with revamped plans for the Alpha Lab tests have nudged the eagerly awaited February update into this month. Regardless, with the official release date still slated for this year, getting a fresh scoop on the game’s progress, ongoing work, and where we might next encounter 2XKO, is quite reassuring.
