Rogueside has just revealed an exciting new project: a detective-themed visual novel called Best Served Cold, currently in the works for the Nintendo Switch.
In this game, you step into the shoes of a bartender who has turned to detective work at The Nightcap, the last standing speakeasy in a reimagined European setting. Your task? Mix up the perfect cocktails while patrons divulge their deepest secrets.
As you listen to these tales, you’ll delve into the lives of those around you, piecing together a mystery that weaves through every level of Bukovie society. From wealthy revelers squandering their fortunes on your drinks, to crooked officers and shady figures trying to entangle you in their dubious dealings, you’ll need to carefully decide how to interact—sometimes charming, delighting, or even intimidating—to coax the truth from those you serve.
With a cast of 20 distinct characters, it’s up to you to figure out whom to trust and whom to sidestep cautiously. Five gripping cases await your investigative prowess; each one challenging you to hunt down every lead and question every suspect in a bid to not only save lives but also keep your business afloat.
Best Served Cold is slated for a digital release on the Nintendo eShop for the Nintendo Switch, with gamers worldwide eagerly anticipating its arrival in 2025.
