A Destiny 2 player recently amazed their fellow guardians by transforming their Titan into a remarkable rendition of the Doom Slayer. The Destiny 2 community is no stranger to clever recreations, having already offered up in-game tributes to icons like Samus Aran, Marvel’s Carnage, and even a nod to Gordon Ramsay with themed armor sets.
In the world of first-person shooters, few characters are as legendary as the Doom Slayer. Known affectionately by fans as “Doomguy,” this stalwart warrior first emerged in 1993 with the launch of Doom, a game that sparked one of gaming’s most celebrated franchises. With six games to its name, the series has most recently expanded with Doom Eternal in 2020. Now, as excitement builds for the forthcoming seventh installment, a devoted player decided to honor this iconic demon slayer in their own unique way.
Reddit user iixVanquishxX took to the platform to showcase their impressive creation—a Destiny 2 Titan crafted in the likeness of the Doom Slayer. The highlight of this build is undoubtedly the Wall-watcher Helm, which uncannily mirrors the familiar helmet of the famed FPS protagonist. Complementing this piece, the creation features the standard ornament, Wolf-Kissed Plate, BrayTech Sn0Boots, and Knightly Noire Mark, together capturing the fierce essence of the Doom Slayer’s armor, just as fans might witness it in the upcoming Doom: The Dark Ages.
Destiny 2’s inventive builder, iixVanquishxX, didn’t just stop at the armor design. Their mastery also extended to the use of shaders, which skillfully embody the Doom Slayer’s iconic look. The torso showcases a palette of Unsated Curiosity, Warped Rachis, and Gambit Jadestone, the latter two expertly matching the characteristic dark green hue. For the lower armor, Unsated Curiosity pairs with Gamekeeper, a shader recently introduced in Destiny 2’s 22nd season and reasonably accessible via the Eververse store.
For those eagerly awaiting more Doom action, the beloved Doom Slayer is set to return on May 15 with the release of Doom: The Dark Ages across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. Serving as a prequel to 2016’s critically lauded Doom and its follow-up, Doom Eternal, this new narrative invites players to experience the legendary battle against Hell’s forces while exploring fresh, unseen realms. Meanwhile, Destiny 2 continues to keep its community engaged with an April update, arriving with the weekly reset and the latest Xur inventory rotation.
