Forza Horizon 5 Set to Expand to PlayStation 5 as Next Xbox Exclusive

Forza Horizon 5 is set to make its way to the PlayStation 5, as confirmed by Playground Games. If you’ve already mastered the Forza Horizon 5 achievements, soon you’ll have the opportunity to tackle them again on the PS5 with the added charm of PlayStation trophies. Though the exact release date is still under wraps, you can anticipate this thrilling Xbox racing game to make its PS5 debut sometime in the spring.

Playground Games is excited to bring Forza Horizon 5 to a broader audience, as they recently announced. This move marks the highly acclaimed Xbox exclusive’s journey to the PlayStation platform. Panic Button is leading the development of the PS5 version, working closely with Turn 10 Studios and Playground Games. According to the latest official blog post by Playground, the game is slated to launch for PS5 in the spring of 2025. “We’re thrilled to welcome a whole new community at the Horizon Festival,” the team expressed, highlighting the vast array of features the game offers. With nearly 900 cars, over 40 thematic game updates, two expansions, and a wealth of additional content, PlayStation 5 players are in for a treat as they venture through the scenic roads of Mexico and get swept up in the Horizon Festival’s excitement.

The PS5 edition will mirror the Xbox version in many ways, ensuring fans won’t miss out on any of the fun. The additional expansions, namely Hot Wheels and Rally Adventure, will be up for grabs, along with all the previously released car packs.

Adding a fresh twist for all platforms, Playground Games is crafting a “special new free content update” named Horizon Realms. This update promises to let players explore a curated selection of popular Evolving Worlds from the community, alongside a few surprises that are sure to intrigue.
