As many of you might know, the game “Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza In Hawaii” features some intriguing golden balls, which are actually collectible items that can be claimed by the character Goro Majima. Provided that Majima manages to gather all seven of them, he can complete a part of the sub-story within the game.
Before you jump to conclusions based on the headlines, let me clarify—the balls in question are genuinely made of gold and can be found scattered across different locations as Goro makes his ports of call, similar to the mechanics in “Like A Dragon: Gaiden.” Recently, there was a pesky bug preventing some players from collecting all of these treasures. Luckily, this glitch has now been resolved, so please, no more throwing tomatoes or sending threats via Kiryu!
The bug fix is part of the game’s latest update, patch 1.12, launched by RGG on March 7. The patch notes crisply state: “Fixed an issue where the golden ball could not be obtained.” That’s a concise way of addressing the matter, isn’t it, RGG? It’s left us wondering which specific ball was affected and what made it unobtainable. Could it have been spirited away by one of the numerous treasure-seeking pirates in the game? Alas, the details remain a mystery. What counts is that the golden balls have made their return—just imagine Thin Lizzy singing about their comeback!
Now, let’s dive into the other fixes introduced with the patch across all platforms:
– Resolved an issue where manual saving wasn’t functioning properly.
– Another fix involved preventing a bizarre bug where loading saved data on a ship could cause your character to fall into the water with no way back. (Sounds entertaining but unplayable!)
– Rectified a problem where high scores in arcade games weren’t being retained.
– The update also addressed and improved typographical errors and localization issues.
– Various other tweaks were made to boost stability and quality.
For our PC players, there are some specific updates: the game now supports Intel XeSS 2.0.1, and a rare crash during resource loading has been fixed. If you’re experiencing random driver crashes with some NVIDIA GPUs, RGG advises adjusting your settings to cap the FPS at 60.
If “Pirate Yakuza” hasn’t sailed into your gaming collection yet, don’t forget to check out my review. It only slightly questions if not finding humor in a middle-aged Japanese guy showering indicates I might’ve lost my comedic touch.
