Haven’t set up your Nintendo Account yet? Head over to their site and sign up—it’s free! By having a Nintendo Account, you unlock the perks of the My Nintendo rewards program. This means you can earn points when you buy eligible digital games from the Nintendo eShop or engage with Nintendo apps on your smart device. Even just logging into Nintendo services like the eShop can score you some points.

Before diving in, just a quick note: always check the Nintendo eShop or specific game pages for the most current pricing information. You’ll need a Nintendo Account to download demos from the Nintendo eShop on your Nintendo Switch, and, of course, terms and conditions apply.

To make purchases or download demos and free software from the Nintendo eShop via the official website, your Nintendo Account must be linked to your Nintendo Switch. Ensure your console is registered as the active device for downloads by visiting the Nintendo eShop on that console at least once. For seamless automatic downloads, your system should be up-to-date, connected to the internet, and have automatic downloads enabled along with sufficient storage space.
