Since Friday evening, gamers have been struggling to access the PlayStation Network. PSN has been offline for over fifteen hours now, marking one of the most prolonged unscheduled downtimes for a major gaming network. This widespread outage is affecting everything from account management and social features to the PlayStation Store itself.
Details about what’s causing this disruption, and when it might be fixed, are still unclear. Fifteen hours back, the AskPlayStation X account tweeted, saying, “We are aware some users might be currently experiencing issues with PSN. For more details:” Unfortunately, there hasn’t been any follow-up message to update users.
You can keep track of the PSN Store outage on Sony’s status page, which at the time of writing, shows all features as unavailable. Additionally, Downdetector offers real-time updates by compiling user reports. As more PlayStation fans try to log in and play, reports of the outage are only increasing.
